*When finished with a match the game should not only ask for a rematch/character select, but also a gem and stage select straight from the loaded stage. (This is prob a pain in the ass to do since most fighting games still don't have this feature)

It's a bit of a redundant feature, just go back to character select, and take the two seconds it takes to repick characters.

There's certainly more pressing issues the devs could be working on.

I agree its not the most important thing to look at but I just don't get how ever since fighters incorporated the option to rematch right then and there, they overlooked other areas to add as well... for example:
If I want to rematch but try a different approach with a different gem I shouldn't have to go back to char select to do so, it defeats the purpose of the rematch option. Yes I want to rematch but with a different setting. Its something that I feel like some fighting games need it, some don't. Stage selecting would be nice too. In this game not that important but in a game like Injustice or Tekken stage selection is crucial.
I understand that game development almost never allows you to do what you trully want to do with your game and have to cut stuff out to work or improve on something else...
I'm just saying in a perfect world the option to change gems, stages or even colors from the "rematch" screen would be awesome!

I'm more curious about the long term player retention. Divekick is hype and all but a lot of people I know (myself included) aren't dedicating hours to it at a time like we did at launch.

at least, not online anyway. irl sitdowns are still the hypest shit.

Let's hope that we can keep people from leaving as much and get others into it. I think if IGS gets into a big tournament or two then Divekick might become more popular, and we still have the PS4 launch to look to, hopefully we'll get an influx of new players in both Steam and PS4 around the release date.

I get the impression a pretty limited lifespan was somewhat expected. Like, I don't mean to depress or demean the work of Iron Galaxy here, but they must've known that once the joke of the experience wears off, few are going to stick around for the game, fun and surprisingly deep though it is it kinda lacks staying power and variety.

Point is, I don't see it picking up in player count. Game's got the lifespan of your average anime fighter.

lol the server list issue will be fixed in no time. This happens about 1-2 times every year.
