Divekick WORLDWIDE
« on: September 10, 2013, 01:31:32 pm »
I just wanna give a shout out to the devs for making a game that's so deceptively easy for anyone to get into. I'm deployed out here in Kandahar, Afghanistan and I volunteer at my local USO by hosting video game tournaments as part of The New Challengers. We specialize in fighting games, and while we've seen a lot of great players come and go, it's hard to get newer players into the scene. Divekick is perfect! We've gotten such a positive response out here that the staff wishes you guys had disk copies so we could get more going on out here (currently we're all playing on my personal PS3).

Keep up the good work, you all!

That's really awesome that you guys are able to enjoy the game with so many people out there.  When I played other fighting games, we were lucky to get 10 people within a 100 mile radius to play a game.

We ended our Video Game Decathlon with DIVEKICK (pics at the end of the album). The soldiers got crazy hype for it once they started playing. I have video, but I won't be able to post it quite yet. There's another Divekick tournament next week so I'll post those as well. You guys are awesome.

The quote of the night had to be one soldier saying to a Stream player, "What the heck was that? This is Divekick not Divefireball!" We had 20 competitors (counting myself) and everyone went crazy. I'll post video as soon as I'm Stateside. I already got a friend from another base telling me that people are requesting Divekick after seeing our posts on our page. YOU GOTTA RELEASE A DISK COPY SO WE CAN SHARE IT WITH THE [DEPLOYED] WORLD!!!

A Dr. Shoals player ended up winning against a Kick player in the finals. We had a Kenny player make it all the way to semis before he faced the mighty FOOT DIVE. The favorite was a new Mr. N player, but he was bested by Kenny mid-tournament. All the matches were amazing!

PICTURES FROM THE ONE TRUE TOURNAMENT!

Keep it up guys!  I'll ask around here and see if there is a way we can get copies out to you.

I know the staff of the USO out here would be grateful considering I'm the only one with a copy on my PC/PS3 and I do have to go home from time to time. Any help would be awesome!

Getting you copies for PC would be a heck of a lot easier. Is that an option?

I'll check with the staff of the USO; I'm pretty sure they can run the game on their computers. The only issue right now is getting wired controllers to plug and play (too easy).
